After years of eating yogurt for a mid morning snack, I have started to blend the yogurt into a drink for a change. The addition of fresh fruit adds even more nutrition.
1 cup yogurt
1 cup milk* (you can use nonfat, almond, regular, or rice milk)
½ to 1 cup fresh fruit (blueberries, banana, strawberries etc.)
1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
Place all of the above ingredients in a blender and blend until thick. Also you can use a deep bowl or container and an emulsifier hand blender. This is easy and less mess and clean up. * Use more milk if you are blending Greek Yogurt or other thick yogurts. Blend well.
