Spaghetti, Easy Pleasy

Spaghetti can be a labor intensive process. This is a “clever” way to get an excellent spaghetti sauce and it is quick.

1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
1 large onion, chopped
1 teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon rosemary
½ teaspoon oregano
1 large jar of Prego Italian Sauce, (67 oz.)
½ cup red wine (dry)
1 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
Black pepper to taste

Sauté the ground beef and pork, stirring offen, until lightly browned and in samll pieces. Add chopped onion to the meat and sauté until onion is translucent. Add thyme, rosemary and oregano. Stir well. Add Prego Italian Sauce and red wine. Stir together and cook on low about 15 – 20 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Cook about 8 oz. of spaghetti pasta according to package directions. Add HALF of this sauce to the pasta and heat together.

Serve spaghetti with a nice green salad and crunchy bread.

Place the remaining sauce in a container and freeze for future use.

Serves 4 to 6
