Aunt Audrey’s Broccoli Salad

I had to “maneuver” very carefully to get this family recipe. 

2 bunches raw broccoli, cut into small pieces (use heads only if desired)
½ cup chopped green onions
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
½ cup raisins or currants
1 lb. crisp bacon, crushed (or use bacon bits)

Mix ingredients together and toss with dressing below.

Dressing:
¾ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sugar
3 TBSP. vinegar

Stir until sugar dissolves. Add to salad and toss. 

 Serves 4 to 6 as side dish
