Baked Beans

This casserole works with a BBQ, picnic, or ham dinner. 

½ to 1 lb. bacon, sliced
2 medium red onions, diced
2 green peppers, diced
1 bottle chili sauce
¾ c. brown sugar
1 – 16 oz. can kidney beans
2 – 16 oz. can pork ‘n beans
1 – 16 oz. can pinto beans

Sauté the bacon, onions, and green peppers in a pan.  Add bottle of chili sauce and brown sugar.  Stir.  Add the beans.  [Do not drain the beans because this will contribute to the sauce.]  Stir together and place in a casserole dish.

Bake in oven for 1 ½ to 2 hours at 325 degrees uncovered. 

Serves 6 to 8 or more.
